i remember when i was young; my mother often described the beauty of the grasslands through this poem：“tian cang cang，ye mang mang，feng chui cao di xian niu yang”. it means in english “clear skies，sweeping plains，the grass bowing before the wind，revealing grazing horses and sheep.” i could recite this even before entering primary school.

16years ago，my mother visited one of the grassland of inner mongolia. she said that no words could describe it’s stunning natural charm. with her description firmly printed on my mind i began to long for a tour to the grassland.

sadly，this marvelous image that i had in my mind changed completely when my mum and i visited the grassland a year ago. as soon as we got there，i couldn’t believe my eyes. what was in front of me was just a piece of land with loosely grown grass. in the far distance i saw only a couple of horses feeding lazily. i asked my mother：“where is the lush，tall grass?” as puzzled as me，she said nothing. i was shocked to see the differences between the grassland in my dream and what was in front of me.

on the way home，i thought a lot and tried to find answers.

now i am old enough to bring awareness to other people and share my dream for the grasslands. overgrazing and extensive farming have ruined the grassland and so taken away the charm of our homeland. but i am confident that one day the grasslands will recover and its true wealth and beauty will be realized as long as everybody gives his contribution to restore our homeland.

2、每天坚持听磁带是锻炼听力的最有效的方法。一般的英语试卷，听力占20%，是很大的分数，所以想考高分的话，听力必须保证满分。听磁带时要仔细听，一个一个单词的`听，能清楚的听到每一个单词组成的句子，如果有含糊不清的，不要只想着跳过，应该重复地听，直到听清为止。我们可以在老师上新课前提前预习，预习新课文并且听课文磁带，这样老师讲新课时，你就可以清楚的知道，每一个单词每个句子在哪里，在讲什么，听课效率肯定会提高很多，尤其对一些在英语方面不是很优秀同学来说，这是很有帮助。

其次就是听课了，上课时，一定要全身心的投入到课堂中，老师讲的每个语法都要理解并且运用得当，练习是对一天学习的巩固，必须要认认真真写，不会写的不要抄，实在想不出来，就去问问同学，同学也不会，就去询问老师，千万不要只抄一个答案，这是没有任何意义。下次碰到一样题型的题还是一样不会做，所以一定要认真听讲，理解每一个语法，不仅要知道答案，要“知其然！知其所以然”。

总的来讲英语就靠背、听、练认真听课，理解语法，踏踏实实，一步一个脚印，英语其实并没有那么难。

如果孩子小学的英语没有学好，那相对来说，现在学得会比较累;同样地，如果现在不学好英语，那将来的英语学习也是不难想象的。如果有心的家长仔细观察的话，会发现小学英语的词汇量与语法是和初中所学有着一定联系的，起着一个推进的作用。所以我们只有现在打下良好的基础，才不会导致英语越学越难、越学越差。初一，是一个崭新的起点、是一个完全可以打牢和巩固基础的时候，也是培养学习习惯和学习方法的最佳时机，我认为各位家长一定要高度重视这个关键时期。千万不能纵容自己的孩子第一次说：英语好难，我默不出来;就任由他去。你让你的孩子知道：今天，你花大时间去养成好习惯，明天，你就可以更好。今天，你偷懒了一会，你明天的作业就会更多。累积下来，你就是欠债最多的人。孩子是每个家庭的重心和希望，有一位家长说过：“要把培养孩子当作自己的事业来做。”是啊，只要你多投入一点，相信你的孩子会给予你更多的回报!

二、抓住课堂，向四十五分钟要效率

现在通过一段时间的学习，学生与学生之间已经拉开了差距。“向四十五分钟要效率”，是我读书时的一句流行语，到今天我认为还是很实用。课堂的重要性绝对是“重中之重”，一些好的学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上积极思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为他们感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，功亏一篑，导致他们现在课上听讲出现困难，用他们自己的话说：“我听不懂。”听不懂，还不努力，书面作业拖拉不交，口头作业根本不完成，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事，麻烦事。其实，大部分的学生还是处于中间层次，老师所教的，所布置的作业能够基本完成，但学习的效率又因人而异，存在着个体差别。尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的力，但是说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，我们总希望他们能够再上一个台阶。

三、抓住方法，向好学习习惯要效果

教师是最直接的知识传授者，有着“教书育人”的责任。当然，只有通过和家长共同的努立来帮助孩子学好英语，才能让孩子更好的发挥出他们的智慧，我们要和孩子共同成长。

(1)多听录音。加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差，为此，家长一定要配合来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说。就考试而言也一年比一年注重听力、阅读等需要综合能力的部分。

(2)多说英语。要每天抽出至少15分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，不管当天有无英语课。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自己的口语，也有利于加深印象、巩固记忆。

(3)多背英语。熟练背诵课文和单词背诵是一项基本功，可以积累一些日常用语，到用的时等候就可以脱口而出。但是在背诵过程中要讲究方法，不可操之过急，要注意分散和集中相结合。我们一般是分段教课文，那就可以请学生分段背课文。等快教完的时候，再把课文串起来背，这样可以降低一点难度，让学生背得轻松些。但是在检查过程中，我们发现有一部分学生背得相当熟练，可问他课文中的某个词组或句子的意思时，他却一问三不知。所以，我们在背诵过程中要注意上下文的理解，在理解的基础上达到背诵的要求，课文中涉及到的相关词组和句型，要让学生熟记，并能用它们来造句、说话。

在具体的实施过程中发现：有些学生根本不用心学，能偷懒则偷懒，很多家长比较负责会查问有没有教新课，要不要默写，但孩子不老实，欺骗家长。这时候，你应该及时跟我联系，让孩子知道：欺骗不是办法，也会受到相应的惩罚。单词亦是如此，分散记忆、根据读音记忆单词都是可取的方法。有时，我们回家布置抄写单词，其目的不在于抄，而在于提醒学生记忆这些单词。但是在日常学习中，学生不重视这项作业，认为只是抄抄而已，不做也没什么关系，其实他连抄写都不做，根本别说是去背了，结果几次下来，他负债累累，应付不过来，学习处于被动状态，从而影响了以后的学习，出现退步现象。因此，请大家在家里督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业，该读的读、该说的说、该写的写、该记的记，及时巩固，养成良好的习惯。父母亲的良好榜样起着很大作用。孩子一般还没有明确的学习目的，这时，父母亲对学习的态度，特别是行为，会极大地影响孩子。

在默写单词、词组、课文的时候，有些会诱导父母：老师要求报英语，那家长就比较为难，一方面，自己根本不会读英语;另一方面，也只能帮助他作弊了。其实，我们对默写的要求是这样的：单词、词组是要求家长报中文，课文是要求学生自己熟背然后默写的。
